Hospitality Drum n Bass 2012

Hmmmmm, hate to say it but Hospital are sounding a bit commercial these days…

I’m an AVID follower of DnB and Hospital records have been one of my favourite labels for a good while. I own ALL their releases from the last 5 or 6 years and most before that. In my opinion Hospital’s latest album ‘Hospitality 2012’ is weak. It does have a number of great tracks (You Gotta be Crazy, Bubbles, The License) but overall I think it’s just a little too ‘cheesy’.

I know DnB is becoming more widely listened to and artists have to cater to the wider, younger, less demanding, dub step loving audience, but I don’t think Hospital should be lowering their standards just because there is more rubbish to choose from. I would happily pay double for a better chosen more picky selection.

I’m not going to comment on High Contrasts radio pleaser…

I’m drifting towards Shogun and RAM.
